ONE-DAY EXCURSION TO ROMANIA DOBRUJA

This excursion is part of our program "Rural, ecological and cultural-historical tourism in Dobruja"
• The excursion includes : Visit to the Monument of Emperor Marcus Ulpius Trajan dedicated to the emperor's victory over the Dacians in 102 Mr. no.
• Visit to the fortress built by order of Emperor Trajan after the Dacian wars at the beginning of the 2nd century. no. Is considered, that it is the largest civilian settlement in the lands of Dobruja.
• Monastery of St. App. Andrei Parvozvani with the cave, in which the apostle stayed during his sermons in the region of Small Scythia (today's Dobruja). Fragments of the saint's relics are kept in the church of the monastery complex.
• The valley of the river. A dry river on Romanian territory and its confluence with Lake Oltina, Yortomak and Chamurlia lakes, included in Natura 2000 and declared a Nature Reserve. Possibility of watching pelicans, white and black stork, ibis, herons and other seasonal wetland birds.

• Derwent Monastery with the miraculous icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with the healing and miraculous source - the source of healing, the relics of the early Christian martyrs Epictetus and Astion.
