The Danube Delta is the largest delta in Europe. It is located on the territory of Northern Dobrudja in Romania. From 1991 Mr. is part of the UNESCO world natural heritage. A biosphere reserve of world importance with an area of 4152 sq. km., the place with the richest diversity of bird species in the world (over 300 the species), a crossroads for migratory birds from three continents, moving along five air corridors. Place, where endangered and rare species can be seen, and also above 45 species of freshwater fish in numerous lakes and marshes. The delta is extremely rich in vegetation – over 50 types of trees and shrubs, wrapped in vines, hops and rosehip. Falcons nest here, sea eagles, Drozdov and Slavey, foxes are encountered, wild cats, rabbits, raccoons, lynxes and even boars and wolves, and in the water otters, mink.
First day:
– Departure 6.00 h. from Varna
– Visit to the Lipovan village of Girolovka - the village with the popular fish borsch and something else.
– Visit to Enisala fortress
– Tulcha - accommodation in a three-star hotel
– A walk in the center of Tulcha - the Bulgarian church of St. George
Second day:
– Visit to the Independence Monument, Danube Delta Museum, church of St. Nikola, House-museum Avramide,Folk Art Museum .
– 9.30 – boat trip along the Danube Delta / duration 6 o'clock/
– Mila Island 23 – lunch in a country house, traditional local cuisine, Danube fish
– 16.00 - departure for Varna
