ASSEMBLY OF THE COOKERS – KAINARJA – 2026

Two one-day tours of 14 and 15 March

Departure from Varna and Dobrich

The gathering of the cooks is held every even-numbered year.

It is dedicated to the holiday from the folk calendar "Zagovezni" and is part of the annual cultural "Days of Kaynardzha" and of the cultural life in the region.

The assembly aims to present to the residents and guests of Kaynardzha the variety of kuker masks, clothes, bells and the preserved characteristic ritual games from different ethnographic areas of the country, associated with the traditional masquerade rite of kukers and survakars.

PROGRAM

First day

1. The Gathering of the Cookers
2. Visit to the park complex "Historical Fountain" with the longest fountain in Bulgaria. where through 1774 The peace treaty between the Russian and Ottoman Empires was signed.
3. Visit to the "Kainardza" wine cellar
4. Opening of an exhibition with paintings painted by academic artists reflecting the landmarks of Kaynardzha municipality.

Second day
