INVITATION to participate

ZAYCHAR – the capital of eastern Serbia.

Zaychar (on Serbian Zajecar) is a city in eastern Serbia, located very close to the Bulgarian border, in the hollow, where Beli Timok and Black Timok flow into the Timok River. It is the center of Zaycharsky District and has a population of approx 70 000 souls. The remains of the Roman imperial palace Felix Romuliana are located in the area of ​​Zaychar, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

PARTICIPANTS

Participants in the folklore festival are self-made collectives from Serbia and Bulgaria. Dancers can participate in the festival, singing and instrumental folklore ensembles and groups for processed and authentic folklore, ghost orchestras, ethnic folklore groups, old town song groups. No age restrictions. The festival does not have a competitive nature. Companions of the participants are also allowed.

The folklore program of the group should have a duration 10 -15 minutes.

THE GOALS at the festival:

– to develop cultural exchange between the two countries; to encourage the creative abilities of the individual; to present the folklore and cultural traditions of Serbia and Bulgaria; to popularize Bulgarian and Serbian folklore.

THE PROGRAM at the festival offers:

– 4 and 5 October – participation in a festival concert on an open stage in the center of the city of Zaichar

– 4 или 5 октомври – Сръбска вечер в сръбски кафан с богато меню и сръбска музика на живо – /по желание, with prior request and additional payment/

PARTICIPATION FEE

Package price per person:

164 BGN. per person – includes 2 bed and breakfast

The rooms are double and triple.

Surcharge for single room 45 BGN. per day per person.

The price does not include transport to the town of Zaichar, parking and personal expenses.

To a group of 25 one free place is placed per person (25 + 1).

ATTRACTIONS in the area: Felix Romuliana UNESCO Heritage Site – Roman palace, Zaichar National Museum, Radul Bey's inn - ethnographic museum, exhibition "Memorial of Nikola Pašić", The Museum of the Tymoshenko Uprising "Old Prison"- Bolevac, Popova Beach - an entertainment park on the banks of the Timok River, Lake Sovinac, The stone cellars in the village of Rayats, Kralevica Nature Park, Bogovinska cave. The town of Zaichar is also known as 42 -they are public fountains with healthy drinking water. Kitariada is the biggest cultural event in the city and the oldest rock festival in Serbia, which this year is held for 57- you time. Specialties of the region: a pint of Zaychar beer, rural pocket, timoska salad, rattan tea, Kryvovir cheese and yogurt.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DEADLINES

The candidates, who wish to participate in the festival must declare their participation by filling out

Application form to register to 15 June 2024 year.

Deadline for advance payment 10 % of the total amount 10 July 2024.

Deadline for full payment 20 August 2024 Mr.
